This was an initial drive in which we sensitized 25,000 students representing various households and schools of Karachi. We expect to deliver similar campaigns through the youth platform so that we can change the general outlook of the residents of Karachi”.

Mr. Tabish Gauher CEO KESC and Mr. Ghufran Atta Khan, Chief Marketing and Communication Officer KESC were present on the occasion and express their thoughts about the cause. Mr. Gauher said that, “KESC is making efforts to become a customer-centric organization and to serve this purpose we organize interactive sessions and hold events to engage the general public. Energy Conservation is the only solution to curb the energy crisis that we are facing. Engaging kids and instigating a behavioral change will help us convey the message to the generations to come.”

Ms. Sadia Fazli expressed her views by saying that, “By looking at the enthusiasm level of children, I believe that KESC has accomplished its task and now it’s our duty as individuals to carry this torch forward.”

Ms. Yasmin Lari said that, “It is a pleasant surprise to see KESC involved in such endeavors and we hope that the company will continue to be a part of such social initiatives as this would play a vital role in days to come.”

Accolades were given to all the participating school and students. Kids from Grade 1-3 were given prizes for their respective ideas whereas students from Grade 4-6 were rewarded for their ideas as well as artistic endeavor.

KESC is planning to take this programme forward by initiating this drive amongst adolescents and teenagers in the months to come.
