Dawn Lifestyles 2010 was a 3 day exquisite event where various companies showcased their brands and promoted them. Keeping in view the Energy Crisis faced by Karachi and Pakistan in general KESC participated while focusing on the theme of Energy Conservation.
Making the decision to attempt to lead an energy efficient lifestyle is not difficult and even the smallest of changes contributes to slowing the speed of environmental change. This provides each participating individual the opportunity to create a green home where energy is utilized efficiently and wisely.
For example, electricity is, on the whole, not an eco friendly commodity and is certainly becoming increasingly expensive. A few hints on how to save power by cutting electricity usage in the home, which are energy efficient, leading to both environmental and financial benefits.
KESC Pavilion at the event held various attractions for the people from various backgrounds and ages. Youth Platform was created to attract teenagers and adults where singing competition, games and other interesting activities were organized to engage the kids.
Different giveaways were distributed to all the people who paid us a visit at our stall. Key chains, fridge magnets, pens, t-shirts and various other prizes with Energy Efficient reinforcements on them were distributed amongst the general public.
Energy Efficient Model was established in order to emphasize on how to be more eco friendly. Guidelines were provided to use energy wisely and economically. The whole idea was to propagate that by using energy wisely, individuals are not being asked to compromise on their comfort level instead they are being urged to utilize all the same gadgets with the least amount of resources deployed.
Demonstration stalls were established all across the hall where public in general was being demonstrated the effect of energy savers versus incandescent bulbs on meters hence reflecting the overall units consumed and bill generated.
KESC’s CEO Tabish Gauher was also present at the event and said that,” We take such events as an opportunity to interact with the public. This one on one interaction with the consumers helps us eradicate the differences that have existed between KESC and our clientele for a very long time. I personally believe that the hindrances in providing uninterrupted power supply will be resolved if we sit together and work on it collectively. Energy Conservation is one of the many causes that KESC endorses and will keep on promoting it for the good of our country at large.”
Various dignitaries were present at the vent including the Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed who said that,” it is a pleasant surprise to witness KESC participating in such events especially engaging the youth of our country for the betterment of society.”
KESC’s strategic partners such as Philips, Pakistan Council of Architects and various other renowned business operations joined hands on this cause and promoted the ideology of Energy Conservation. Our partners completely endorsed this cause as it is believed by all the quarters that Energy Conservation is the only way forward to save the future and curb the recent Energy Crisis.
Keeping in view the Monsoon season, KESC also erected stalls pertaining to Public Safety where flyers and brochures were given to the public entailing various precautionary measures to be taken during the season.
Enviornmental causes such as global warming and the adverse effect of wasting energy were also emphasized throughout the 3 day event. Overall the event necessitated the importance of saving energy and the repercussions of acting otherwise.
KESC will continue the create youth platforms and endorse Energy Conservation in order to provide a viable solution to curtail Energy Crisis.
