Remedial Actions
Short Term
· The specific faulty portion is repaired / replaced in the light of nature & gravity of fault.
· If the damages are beyond repair, the faulty portion is isolated & rest is normalised. The effected consumers are fed through alternate supply arrangement till original status is restored.
Long term - high tension / low tension network
Certain projects have already been planned and are under execution to;
· Encounter system short fall
· To meet the load growth
· Relieving of overloading if high tension / low tension network
· Considerable reduction in time to isolate the fault / equipment
· Capacity enhancement in distribution network with taking out new 11KV U/G feeders, installations of PMT's
Improvements of high tension / low tension voltage profile with the installation of high tension / low tension capacitors.
