Mr Nabeel Nawaz joined KESC in 2010. Nabeel has a diverse set of operational and leadership experiences within the technology sphere including consulting, sales and marketing, and IT Management. Prior to joining KESC Nabeel headed the Information Technology function at Abraaj Capital in Dubai. Prior to Abraaj Capital, his career with Hewlett Packard and Cisco Systems, has taken him to the UK, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan.
Prior to undertaking his MBA, Nabeel was seconded by Cisco Systems to start up their operations in Pakistan. During this three year assignment, Nabeel helped setting up sales and distribution channels, running demand generation campaigns, creating and maintaining government and corporate client relati onships, hiring and coaching of staff, setting up and launching of Cisco as a legal entity, and contributing to top line revenue growth. Before his secondment to Pakistan, Nabeel was Cisco’s regional IT manager based in Dubai. Prior to his role in Dubai, Nabeel spent three years in a technical (project implementation) capacity with Cisco in Saudi Arabia and HP Consulting in the UK.
Nabeel holds an MBA from INSEAD business school (France/Singapore), and a BSc in Business Information Technology from Kingston University in the UK.
