Ms. Uzma Amjad Ali has 16 years of experience as a corporate lawyer and is a renowned and successful corporate counsel in the legal fraternity of Pakistan. Prior to joining KESC in October 2007, as the Chief Legal Advisor & Company Secretary she has been associated with the reputable and international recognised law firm of Kabraji & Talibuddin.
While there she has co-authored a chapter with Mr. Salman Talibuddin (partner) of the firm a Pakistan Chapter on Remedies for International Seller of Goods on Pakistan which has been published by Kluner International for the Centre for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria. Due to this she was made an Honorary Member of the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Centre for International Legal Studies Salzburg Austria.
Thereafter, she has been affiliated with Unilever Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank (Pvt.) Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company where she was working as in-house legal counsel for these prestigious institutions.
Ms. Amjad Ali possesses an acute legal acumen and owing to her vast experience has been able to adeptly handle the legal and corporate affairs of KESC. Ms. Amjad Ali holds a Bachelors in Commerce, an L.L.B. in 1991 and then pursued a two year L.L.M. degree in the year 2001 after submission of her thesis from Sindh Muslim Govt. Law College. Her core experience is in corporate law.
